Cucumber, Beets, Spinach, Carrots and more!

Ingredients

handfuls of organic spinach

handful of organic carrots

1 organic beet (peeled)

2 organic oranges

1/2 inch piece of ginger root

1 organic cucumber

Verdict - I made this juice a few days ago and I honesty can’t remember what it tasted like.  I’m having a hard time lately getting the beets down and I remember the flavor of the beets being very strong.  I mention before I prefer beet juices on ice and I didn’t add ice this time.  Next time, I think I’ll try this recipe with half of a beet.

Perfect Fitting Skinny Jeans

I have always had the hardest time finding skinny jeans that fit me properly. Even though I’m kinda thin I have always had thick legs and thighs making it almost impossible to find skinny jeans that fit me throughout. I wear a size 7 pant but would buy my skinny jeans in a size 11 just so I wouldn’t have to cut myself out of them at the end of the day. This was until I discovered the Foxy Super Skinny Jeans by YMI at Dots. I absolutely love the skinny jeans there, they fit me perfectly and in my right size. Success!!

Multi-style Two Strand Twists

I saw someone with hairstyle similar this on Tumblr so I decided to give it a try myself and I loved the results. I wore this hairdo in three different styles but there is a lot more that can be done with it.

Style #1 – As-is.

Style #2 – Sides clipped back with pompadour.

Style #3 – Sides clipped back with bangs.

This is my favorite two strand twist style to date. I’m sure I will be revisiting this style again in the future.

Do-It-Yourself: T-Shirt Tote Bag

This weekend I was in a crafty mood so I decided to turn a few t-shirts I had lying around that were too big for me into tote bags. I got this idea from www.squidoo.com. This would make an awesome craft for Halloween. Just take your kids old Halloween t-shirts you lying around and change them into bags for trick-or-treating. I have listed step-by-step instructions on how I did it below.

Step 1 – Turn shirt inside out and use a needle and thread to sew along the hem line. You could use a sewing machine but I’m not good with sewing machines.

Step 2 – Turn shirt right side out and cut sleeves at the hem line or you can use a seam cutter to undo the thread.

Step 3 – Cut along the neckline for the bag opening. I cut at least one inch away from the existing neckline or use a bowl to cut around.

Step 4 – Just so the straps will not be so wide I folded each side of the sleeves in about an inch and sewed it in place. This is an optional step but I just though it gave the bag a better look.

Step 5 – That’s all there  is to it, you now have an instant tote bag.

It took me about an hour and a half to complete all three bags.

[Video] Low Puff: 2 Puffs in 1 Method

Here is another method I use to create a low puff on my hair. My hair is so thick that I cannot just brush it back and put it in a low puff, I have to use alternative methods. This is just one of three methods. The first method was demonstrated in a previous video: Creating a Low Puff on Thick Hair.

Products Used:
- 100% Aloe Vera Gel (rubbed on hair after washing and conditioning)
- Shea Moisture Organic Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist (to help my fuzzy hair lay down)
- Wrap Scarf (to tie puffs together)
- Goodie Bands (to hold puffs)
- Second Wrap Scarf (to temporarily tie down front of hair)

I like gauchos because you can either dress them up or dress them down. I just wanted to share an outfit I wore this past weekend. It was too hot to dress up so I put together this casual outfit.

I decided to take a break from styling my hair and just wore it in a simple puff.
