How long have you been natural?
fully natural 1 year! ( I transitioned)

What’s the natural scene like in your area?
Emerging! Minnesota’s natural hair curlmmunity is bursting at the
seams. More and more naturals are finding their way to each other
sparking meetups, symposiums, conferences and more!

I love being natural! It’s so freeing!

I guess this is the week for firsts! Please welcome our first lovely feature from the Gopher State, Amera:

What state are you representing?

How long have you been natural?
1 year

What’s the natural scene like in your area?
not a lot of natural sisters but yep bothers with locs and all or
sisters keep there hair under cover under weaves wigs and braids its
ok to do that for awhile but not all the time if you have natural hair
i think let it grow and flow wit the wind

Additional comments regarding your natural hair:
i always knew i had a natural curl pattern but i permed it to get
that silky look i wore it curly anyways rod sets braid-outs but i did
not take care of it i had that myth in my head water makes it
more(nappy) more unmanageable don’t wash it then it will grow now i take
care of my hair my hair loves water i wash it every 7to10days deep
condition it wear a silk scarf to bed only comb it when i have
conditioner in it when its moisture in it never when its dry i keep it
moist water oils and creams
